About Me

I am currently a PhD student in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Kentucky. I work as a research assistant in MIALAB at the Center for Visualization and Virtual Environments under the guidance of Prof. Samson Cheung on exciting problems in image/video processing and computer vision. My research interests are signal /image/video processing, computer vision, pattern recognition and machine learning applications.

 

I am currently working on my dissertation and will be graduating this fall semester (2009) and here’s a copy of my resume. (vijay_resume.pdf, vijay_resume.txt, vijay_resume.doc).

For my PhD research, I am focusing on digital image and video inpainting, privacy protection technologies in video surveillance and perceptual evaluation of image inpainting algorithms.
