Privacy Protected Lifelog System
Recent advances in wearable camera and storage technologies allow us to record the
whole human experience for an extended period of time. Such an audio-visual life-log
system can capture important events as they happen, and can be used in a wide range
of applications in law enforcement and personal archival systems. Along with the
technical challenges, the privacy and legal issues arising in such recordings must be
carefully addressed. We are developing a practical system that combines
real-time
audio distortion
and visual blocking of faces to protect the privacy of subjects captured
in the video.
