Dr. Joan Mazur is an associate professor in the Instructional Systems Design program in the College of Education. Her current research interests focus on interface design and the use of interactive multimedia immersive environments, and she has been working with emerging technologies and education as a faculty associate at the Vis Center. She has been involved with exploring learner articulation in a physically immersive visualization display (through the Metaverse Project) with mechanical engineering students, and has most recently worked with high school students in an introduction to computer visualization class at Jessamine Career and Technology Center in Nicholasville, KY.
